Program Overview
The Department of Islamic Studies aims to become a world-class center of excellence in Islamic knowledge by fostering an outstanding environment for research, teaching, and learning. The department’s curriculum provides a comprehensive understanding of traditional Islamic sciences, including the Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, and Islamic History, while also incorporating modern and practical courses to address contemporary challenges such as terrorism, extremism, and sectarianism. Our goal is to equip students with strong ethical values, intellectual capabilities, and critical thinking skills, enabling them to play an active and positive role in society.
The BS Islamic Studies program is designed to provide students with comprehensive academic and practical training. The curriculum places special emphasis on courses such as Contemporary Muslim Society and Global Challenges, Interfaith Dialogue, and Contemporary Challenges to Islamic Thought. In addition, students are trained to use modern technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to enhance research, digital content creation, and the effective application of Islamic knowledge in contemporary contexts.
