Program Overview
The Department of Biotechnology at Mukabbir University of Science & Technology Gujrat, has been established since 2025 with aim of imparting quality education in the multidisciplinary field of Biotechnology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The department comprised of an impressive team of faculty members groomed and trained in the top labs and universities of the developed countries. They are committed to train young brain in various fields of modern biology and offer a unique opportunity of learning the various emerging disciplines of life sciences. Our research oriented and academic culture empowers the students with a profound understanding of living systems through utilizing Recombinant DNA technology, tissue culture, biocatalysts and biosynthesis of nanoparticles via beneficial microbes and plant extracts in combination with current advancement in bioinformatics and molecular developments. Since its inception, the department has grown appreciably in various branches of biotechnology offering BS and M.Phil. programs in the fields of Biotechnology.

Entry Requirements
12 years of education with minimum second division in a science group with Biology or Chemistry or Physics or Mathematics or Computer Science. University entry test mandatory. Fast track entry to fifth semester for eligible B.Sc. graduates.
